Do you have a dirty Air Conditioning filter? We would love to see it
The University of Texas at Austin is studying the connections between the quality of indoor air in homes and children's health. We would like to use the dust that collects on your air conditioning filter to measure the allergens, chemicals and mold found in your home environment. If you are interested in finding out more about your indoor air quality, and ways to improve it, please sign up below. Remember that we need the dust accumulated on your air conditioning filter so please don't change it.
We are particularly looking for families in Texas with children between the ages of 6 and 13, both with and without asthma.

What is Involved?
|
If you're interested in participating, you'll be sent a kit for you to collect a sample of your filter dust and be asked to fill out some short surveys about your home environment. The sampling kit will then be mailed back to the University of Texas with prepaid shipping for analysis.
What do you get for participating?
To thank families for taking part in the study, you will receive a handheld vacuum cleaner and a report about the environmental quality in your home. The information learned from this study will help other families and promote healthy homes.
